The Matt Broadus Band / Bio

The Matt Broadus Band was 1st formed as a 4 piece country band from Nacogdoches. It was formed by lead guitarist/lead vocalist Matt Broadus in 2009. Along with Scotty Butler on the drums, Jeff Baxter on rhythm guitar/lead vocals & Larry Moreland on the bass. The Matt Broadus Band have played pretty much every bar & club all over East Texas.
Matt recently worked with the band Southbound from 1999 till 2009 while Jeff did his fair share of Honky Tonk gigs. Jeff even went on to win the Colgate Country Showdown thats held anually in East Texas.

Jeff Baxter was hired to share the spot light with Matt. With Larry Moreland on bass and Stan Trala joined as drummer after the departure of Scotty Butler. In 2011 the line up changed. Billy Bryan was hired to play bass and provide lead vocals as well. Matt's cousin Clint Walker was hired to play drums. Billy's dad Jerry Bryan sets in to play the occasional steel guitar. They have a great thing going with the current line up and are looking forward to playing many more shows together. Almost every Saturday night you can catch the Matt Broadus Band playing and singing their hearts out at one of the hot spots in East Texas.
