Dave began his musical career at an early age. His mother was a concert pianist, and she began to teach him at the age of five.
Influences and interests included Santana, Hendrix, The Who, Led Zeppelin, CSN&Y, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Grand Funk Railroad, the James Gang, Van Morrison Dave would bang away at the old Wurlitzer, writing songs when the house was empty, trying to play that forbidden rock and roll. Very soon, piano gave way to the guitar. The first guitar Dave played had a broken neck. For his birthday that year, he got his first real guitar. A friend showed him chords and some Cat Stevens songs.
All through school, music was Dave's driving force playing with two songwriters; Glenn Kessell and Alan Dawson. Together they wrote many songs and were featured on a few radio programs.
Eventually, Anthony and Kessell formed The Dusty Britches Band, a rock and roll band that did original music at showcases, festivals and parties.
Dave attended a local college there where he studied music and communications for a year. While in Colorado, Dave worked at a local Christian radio station, KJOL-FM.
Dave rekindled a friendship with a high school buddy Dave formed Windfall Prophet in 1989. After two years they went to a Recording Studio In February of 1995, Lorne Mathys joined, and the lineup was set. Eternity's Door was recorded with Mark Townsend producing in September of 1995.
The end of 1999 Dave began a new career as a guitar teacher, and began to develop relationship with musicians. This led to Dave hiring Andrew Smith to help produce the new CD, Starline Episode which was released in September of 2008.
Dave continues to live and teach in Kelowna and Vernon BC. Dave has recorded two CDs; "Eternity's Door" recorded by the original Windfall (Steve Nye drums and John Cundy bass, and Lorne Mathys on the second guitar, produced by Mark Townsend released in 1995.
In 2008, Dave released "Starline Episode", produced by Andrew Smith. This effort featured the keyboard work of Malcolm Petch and Corey Janz, as well as Andrew Smith on guitars and percussion, Calum Reese on drums, Graham Ord on slide, Gabriella Carr, Christine VanBergeyk and Raquel Warchol on vocals.
