Somewhere in the hills of North Carolina, melody, lyricism, and an unstoppable groove have collided and unified. It’s a rare occasion to find such a combination of songwriting and musicianship, and especially rare to find one with an affinity for wearing bow ties onstage. Supporting the release of their Mockingbird Alarmclock EP, Life Size is playing shows from their original home in Salisbury all the way to Winston-Salem and Asheville, and building fan support everywhere in between. Their tight live performances bring songs to life, shaking the rafters, soothing the soul, and always leaving the audience wanting more. With intricate three part vocal harmonies, lush soundscapes, and tight arrangements, Life Size creates a sound as memorable as it is indescribable.
The five members of Life Size come from far-reaching ends of the musical spectrum, creating a stylistic mixture that is unfamiliar but strikingly natural. Allijah Motika (Vocals/Guitar/Piano) brings his unique brand of singer-songwriter based folk-pop to the mix. Silas Boyle (Vocals/Guitar/Piano) is equal parts roaring electric blues and intimate acoustic music. Jake Martin (Vocals/Guitar) draws from his hard rock background and limitless vocal range to add an unexpected twist to the band’s style. Greg Moore a.k.a. Pastor Greg (Bass/Vocals) was born and bred playing gospel and serves as an infinite source of groove. Tevin Carr (Drums) drives the Life Size sound with his creative, funk-laced, rock-solid beats.
