"There's nothing else I'd rather be doing ," says Sean Mullin one of the few singer/songwriters who has lived his whole life in Austin,Texas. Sean is referring to the raw soulful rock he performs. "I grew up in home with my dad who is a singer/songwriter and my moms love for music. Every night at dinner there was a different record on. The Police, James Taylor, The Beatles etc. I started playing music in band and in orchestra in middle school which I enjoyed but the thing that pushed me into writing music and playing guitar was hearing Outside by Staind." That was in January of 2001 by June Sean had written and recorded at home a 9 song EP which he gave out to friends and made available for free on the internet. By 2003 Sean was playing live shows. The first venue he played was Kenny's Coffee in Round Rock. "Those days were fun. Every Friday night all my friends would come out to the show. That place and those memories inspired songs like Take Me Away and Beautiful." From there Sean began playing all over Austin. He has played The Blind Pig, Baker St. Pub, Six Lounge, Hills Cafe, and Starbucks among many others. Sean cites influences such as Staind, Zac Brown Band, Tonic, Evanescence, Black Stone Cherry, and Chris Young. Sean has a single available on iTunes called "Don't Say." Watch out for Sean Mullin as he takes over the Austin and Texas music scene.
