Kt Mulholland / Bio

Kt Mulholland is an indie-pop group that traces it roots to the thick woods of upstate NY, where KT was born and raised. The band’s suburban upbringing combines with urban street smarts to create an eclectic library of tunes that are as focused on strong lyrical content as they are danceable.

Following her training at Emerson College, former princess-rebel Mulholland moved to Queens, NY to pursue a career in songwriting. Her aspirations led her to the final five of Empire City’s got Talent (television). Shortly after she was honored as the 2013 New York Rose of Tralee, singing her original music across Ireland in a whirlwind tour late summer '13. With Irish audiences reaching over one million, she was determined to return to New York on a mission: to form a super team of musicians and make as much music as possible. Joined by producer Captain Hitz (formerly of P4E and CEO of Firehaus Records), KT created, produced and released her latest EP, “A La Carte” in October of last year. This was quickly followed by three music videos, which the band created and edited them selves. The six-song debut was met with much enthusiasm, and the pair began performing in and around the New York area at various venues and festivals.

Today they are joined by Berkley educated guitarist Nadav Post, along with multi talented instrumentalist and vocalist Elizabeth Meriwether to round out their now-matured sound, which calls to the catchy pop-appeal of the 80’s while lyrically touching upon universally challenging topics.

KT will release her first LP, “Wild One,” in February of 2016 at the Mercury Lounge in NYC, with a tour following shortly after. Dates and locations TBA.
