Exempt is an alternative rock band that formed in December of 2011 in New Brighton, PA. The band consists of Fynn Mott on lead vocals, Curt Walsh on lead guitar and backing vocals, Mike Russell on rhythm guitar and vocals, and Danny Stevens-Cleric on bass. Out of the current lineup, Curt and Mike are the only original founding members left. The band has played many shows over the years and a few of them are notable; On November 17th, 2012 they hosted the "Rock U Like A Hurricane Benefit Concert" at Penn Bistro in New Brighton, PA to benefit the Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy Victims, Exempt also played at the benefit for the Ronald McDonald House Charity at Rex Theater in Pittsburgh, PA on July 20th, 2013. The band competed in the Zanafest battle of the bands on August 11th, 2013 in which the took 4th place. Exempt released their first E.P. "Senseless" on March 14th, 2013. On December 17th, 2013, Exempt opened for Courage My Love on Their "Becoming Tour" stop in Pittsburgh at The Smiling Moose. On the same day they released their first album "Will Work For Clothes". The band is currently still playing shows and writing new material.
