Jaime Nanci And The Blue Boys / Bio

Formed around a love of Jazz, Blues and 80's melodrama, Jaime Nanci And The Blue Boys played their first show for the hot hoofers of Dublindy at the HepCat Club less than one year ago.
Plundering the vault of iconic songs from the 1920's right up to the present day, wrapping their fine jazz chops around these tunes and morphing them into something altogether different, at the same time, recognisable, but essentially, new.

Central to the group is Jaime Nanci, sometime frontman with Galway "loungepunks" Cuckoo Savante and long term Mary Coughlan collaborator, who's four octave vocal range and love of Nina Simone, mixed with a towering pompadour and Wolverine-esque sideburns create an edgy mix of masculine and feminine.

Hailing from the darkest reaches of Poland, Multi-instrumentalist, and all round mentalist, Pawel Grudzien brings a fresh musicality, incredible production and technological skills to the mix, right down to the synthesized wind instrument he is fond of wrapping his jaws around. A classically trained violinist, with a penchant for the Church organ, Pav The Fiddler is currently working his fingers through many pies.

Dave Redmond, AKA Raven Dedwood, is a behemoth of the Double bass. Multi award winning and much sought after, The Blue Boys are lucky to have enticed him in (with the promise of fine women and rich food...) Dave tours the world with his Bull Fiddle for company, playing all over Europe, Asia and the United States with some of the worlds finest Jazz musicians. His solo album is currently in production.
