Born in Praia, Cabo verde on May, 11 1990. My passion for music started somewhere around when i turned 15 years old, first as a DJ. I Loved music and occasions when music was very important, such as parties. Being so young i could not play at bigger gigs, but i could play music for younger kids parties. Kids are creatures with a short patience spam, to DJ for them turn out to be a challenge, as if starting anything in life but i earned a lot of experience from them. I learned what worked, what didn’t work and why. I learned to choose music according to the vibe of a crowd, which is crucial. Before i knew it, i was a DJ at clubs for grownups, people would come to me and comment how they were having a great time.
In 2008 i moved to the US, and a lot of things changed, but i would still DJ at house parties whenever i had a chance. About 2 years later i decided to quit being a DJ, it was time to move on to bigger and better things. I started producing beats, which takes time, dedication, patience and perseverance to get good at. It was especially hard for me, because i had no past musical experience (on production level), so in the beginning i really struggled. A few friends gave me some tips that really helped me, and for that i am grateful. But my learning didn’t stop at producing music, i also learned to edit pictures, videos, I became a photographer, and later on i began rapping. And its funny how before i thought my voice was total garbage, but after i started rapping i would have people say they like my voice, and i started to like too :)
Currently i’m working on my mixtape, and i plan on starting my album after i’m done with my mixtape. I have all the resources and skills i need to make it happen, so i will. Always learning, always experimenting, always improving, never quitting, ever.
