Hatfield McCoy uses a variety of instruments to blend the best parts of, Rock, Soul, Americana and Pop to create whats has come to be known as, "that mid-atlantic sound." By layering acoustic guitar with bluesy electric riffs recalling early Stones, Tom Petty, Pink Floyd and Van Morrison, they lay the groundwork for gospel choruses and saxophone solos. Cascading keys and an ever present and melodic rhythm section move the songs slowly but surely through their paces. Songs touching on travel, discovery, heavy drinking and the ability to be a thorn in one's own side make for a listen worth contemplating.
