Scott West (November 8, 1990) was born in New Jersey and began playing music with his father at 4 years old. After watching a bootlegged Paul McCartney concert with his father, he asked for an acoustic guitar and received a very small, nylon-stringed, Harmony guitar. After turning down several opportunities to take guitar lessons, he began learning on his own by ear, playing with songs like the Beatles’ “Things We Said Today,” and “All Together Now.” Scott grew up playing concerts at different school fundraisers, church events, town get-togethers, and friend’s parties, so by the time he was 18 and had moved out to New Haven, CT, playing out was nothing foreign.
Over the years, Scott began writing his own music and by 2004 released his first CD What She Said out of his family’s basement recording studio, Powerville Records. In 2006, What She Meant was released as a follow up to the freshman LP. Then came several years of singles and demos released to only family and friends, including The Sleepy EP and The Coalition. Then in 2010 came Timely Investments. This most recent CD was recorded at Adorea Recording Studio in Hamden, CT.
Scott West can be seen playing concerts in the New England area. Stop by and enjoy!
