Idlewild String Confederation / Bio

Formed in 2011 in New Orleans LA, Idlewild String Confederation has spent the last three years refining their live show into a contagiously good time. Heavily influenced by such great entertainers as Flatts and Scruggs, Ricky Scaggs and The Allman Brothers, the Confederation's sound can almost be described as country bluegrass rock. Their body of original work combines these three genres for a sound that is uniquely their own. Having worked their way up to such venues as Tipitina's, House of Blues and The Howlin Wolf, Idlewild String Confederation continues to seek new opportunities and venues. Bolstered by the encouragement of loyal fans, the band has begun planning for their debut album!
