With his silky-smooth voice, the stage name Mr. Mazin was given to him mainly from female supporters who love his music. Carlos Anthony was born on March 15, 1983 in the town of Black River, St. Elizabeth where he spent only five years of his childhood before relocating to Newland, Portmore.
Growing up as an active child, he made a lot of friends including his current road manager Joe-Wayne Collins. As a student, he developed his love for music while attending Waterford Comprenshive High. At age of 17, Mr. Mazin had already become lead singer of Gregory Park’s New Testament Church of God. Before leaving high school, a few of childhood friends including himself formed a small music group called MMP (Money Man Productions).
In his early stages of his music career, he auditioned for television shows such as “Digicel Rising Stars and Magnum Kings & Queens of Dancehall” in 2008. Later that year, a turf war escalated in his community which cost the life of his childhood friend & deejay Derron Fuller (Fyah Way) creating a pause in Mr. Mazin’s music career. After years past in silence of his friend’s death, he met with Jonathan Riley, a talented young music producer and therefore joined his record label Prosonic Production in 2011.
By formulating chemistry with Prosonic Production, Mr. Mazin released his first single called Pretty Girl which led him to interviews with DJ Ragz from Fresh 92.7 in Austraila, Maria Jackson from Jamaica’s Bess FM, Swag TV and RE TV. He also kept a small show called “Mazin Fridayz", which his community was very supportive and saw his efforts to give back to his hometown. Now with a new built reputation, Mr. Mazin is current working on more songs, performing at small shows and promises to do his best and continues to strive for success in his career.
