Welcome, RADIANCE! Music City, U.S.A. rings with the sound of R&B recording/performing artists and twin sister soulstresses, RADIANCE! Tennessee natives, Ralonda Charniece and Rashonda Darniece, seal the independent movement with their own originality and style. They are the writers, arrangers, and composers of their music.
At the age of six, Charniece and Darniece's performing arts pursuit was birthed from a special opening dance performance during a step show with a Whites Creek High School Greek step organization, Sub Debs, which was held at the historical Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. This led to various dance groups and opportunities. One of these memorable moments was a performance sponsored by the Nashville Urban League. They had the opportunity to perform in New York City and to attend the famous Apollo Theater in July 1990. Another memorable moment was an AIDS benefit talent show called "I Became A Star" which was held at Tennessee State University in April 1992 and featured appearances of rising entertainers. Throughout the years, they participated in marching and concert bands, step teams, and choirs. RADIANCE has had the chance to perform the Star Spangled Banner at the Nashville Sounds Baseball Game, as well as for a basketball game of the Nashville Rhythm American Basketball Association. Other performances have included clubs, churches, schools, model showcases, television shows, awards shows, prisons, weddings, banquets, and parks. These women are honors graduates of Whites Creek High School and B.B.A. degree achievers from Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee. Shining stars, stand up and celebrate with RADIANCE!
