Colleen Allen is an acclaimed and versatile sax player and multi-instrumentalist. Based in Toronto, she has performed all over Canada, the U.S. and Europe with world class jazz and pop artists, and is one of Canada's most in demand musicians for live concerts and recording sessions. Colleen plays all saxes, flute, clarinet, and accordion. She is a top call in Toronto for live shows, festivals, theatre performances as well as touring.
She has performed extensively with Molly Johnson, David Clayton Thomas, Rik Emmett, Marc Jordan, Hilario Duran, The Toronto Blues Review, Andrew Craig, Jackie Richardson, Women With Horns, Cirque Du Soleil, and SoulPepper theatre.
She is a newly inducted member of Manteca, one of Canada's premier fusion jazz big bands, and has recently been in the studio with them to record a new album.
She is the featured sax player in Heavy Weather, a group which showcases the music of Weather Report. Whether touring with the celebrated Molly Johnson, or performing in Jazz, Blues, Pop or Gospel showcases, Colleen is one of the most cherished musicians on the Canadian music scene.
