Dynoride / Bio

Due to their wild live performances, Dynoride has been described as "mesmerizing, energetic rock" as their songs feature hard rock riffs with an energy likened to punk rock, all wrapped within a pop sensibility.

Dynoride originally formed in 2008 when Burnell Eckardt and John Taylor, old high school friends, came together with the intent to create quirky acoustic songs. After having written a handful of tunes the duo began to record 1-track demos in Burnell's one-room apartment. Soon thereafter it became apparent the songs needed drums and the group then added Kyle Rohweder on drums and recorded a 5-song demo. Kyle then brought his friend Zac Cox into the line-up on lead guitar. The foursome then went on to play some local shows and had begun recording what was supposed to become the album "What You Wanted". During the recording session the tracks were lost, which dealt a heavy blow of disappointment to the band and ultimately resulted in their disbanding in early 2010. In late 2011 Burnell and John began resurrecting the songs with a single goal: to finish the record that had been lost. Steve Maule was brought in on drums and recording began. The recordings were all done in John's living room, with drums and bass being captured in a single take. Dynoride played several shows with Steve, who's last show happened to be the release party for the album on June 9th, 2012. Before Steve parted ways, he found the group a replacement drummer, Jacob Laird and the rest is history.
