the hyperholics / Bio

the hyperholics is an alternative rock group that formed in Wiesbaden, Germany.
The group consists of Ricky Shumock (guitar, vocals) and Casey Powell (drums) and recently John Adams helping with bass duties.
All members are Americans that met each other while living in Germany.

The band began writing music in early 2012. With members coming from different musical influences, the sounds they produce become reminiscent of the one genre that they have in common—Post-Grunge. The music, with chanting guitar licks and a driving drum force, can most easily be classified in the post-punk/garage band revival.

A typical concert from the hyperholics includes four things: loudness, speed, energy, and above all musicianship. From alternating setlists to improvisational-jams to wailing guitar solos, one can never expect two concerts from the hyperholics to be the same.

In September 2012, the band recorded the 5-song EP entitled “Long Live The King”.
