Dan Griffin is one of Arizona's finest guitarists. As a student of the instrument for 42 years, including a stint a North Texas where he was lucky enough to study with Herb Ellis. Throughout his career Dan has appeared onstage with numerous musical greats including BeBop Legend Artt Frank, contemporary artists such as Steve Laury and Brian Bromberg, as well as mainstream artists such as Chris Issak and Donny Osmond. Mr. Griffin has authored 2 method books, "Melodic Compounds", and " Open String Voicings for Jazz guitar". Mr. Griffin holds an honorary seat on the board of directors of the prestigious Chet Baker Foundation alongside musical giants such as Herbie Hancock, Dave Brubeck, Quincy Jones, and many many others too numerous to mention. These days Mr. Griffin divides his time between playing the "Good Rooms" in Southern Arizona, and teaching a few lucky students, and arranging Mozart Sonatas for 8 string classical guitar.
