Peace & Quiet began as a project of song writers Jeremy Delgado and Vic Benys(Brightly Feathered Ones, The Chase). Before the band was known as Peace & Quiet, Jeremy and Vic were writing songs together as a duo performing mostly for friends and family. Wanting to take their music to the next level, they formed "The Novels" with keyboardist Scott Benton and played several shows around Texas. It was not long that the band disbanded due to multiple problems among members. Not wanting to lose what they saw as the beginnings to something more, Vic Benys and Jeremy Delgado pushed forward towards a new direction with the group and picked up new keyboardist/songwriter Gary Graves(Adam Rodgers and the Foundation, Gorilla Gorilla, Blood-Red Black Bird) and drummer Justin Herrera to begin the new group known as Peace & Quiet. The group quickly began growing in popularity with its emotional yet light views on sometimes darker elements to everyday life. Feeling the need to add more depth to the songs, Robert Benys(Microphonic) was welcomed to the group bringing a fresh take on lead guitar with his use of effects mixed with powerful overtones. This, synced with their original sound scape of intoxicating rhythms, strong melodic infrastructure, and psych-folk foundations; they quickly found their own niche in the scene. Shortly before the group's first year together was to come up, another personnel change was to unfold as then drummer, Justin Herrera, left the group. With an important role for the band needing to be filled, they quickly decided on the present drummer, Cody Strong(Echo), known for his solid technique and creative playing styles. Recently releasing their first EP, "Bionic Stalker Bee", the group plans to follow soon with a full album. You can catch them playing at many venues across Texas with shows set to be played around the nation in Spring 2013.
