The origins of DCB started in 2001 when Evil-E started working on vocals with his brothers rock/metal bands. Ian Hamlett (Evil-E) appeared on a track entitled "Puff Puff Pass" with a band called the Synth Lords. That was the door that needed to be opened for him. Performing live with a number of bands like SexPedal, The P.Rs, From The Ashes Of Our Youth, The New Minority, and a few others, Evil-E found the sound and style he was finally looking for.
In 2005 Evil-E hooked up with long time friend and drummer of his brothers death metal bands named John Hauk (The J.C.) and a new guy to the music scene Adam Young (Young Doc). The 3 of them formed a dynamic rap trio called Detroit Crack Boys. 2005 was a break out year for DCB releasing their first album called "A Day In The Life". With fun catchy tracks like "Lyrical Homicide" and "The Dis Corner" they were doing great. A follow up album was dropped in 2007 called "Still Here" and it was 100% fresh, with a new sound and a new CD 2007 was there year.
Some years had past and the members of DCB had parted ways to pursue their own projects and raise family's, make money and provide for loved ones..They lost a few people along the way, either passed on to the next world or just fell off and DCB was officially broken up in 2009.
2010 Evil started doing solo recordings with his brother and long time musician Dave Kneeves. Dave started showing Evil things about himself that he never new exsisted, like playing bass and how to record your own music, Evil was a on a mission to bring DCB back to life, inspired by bands like Wu-Tang, Atmosphere, 311, Korn, Death, Rush, Primus, Dr.Dre, Eminem, Twizted, ICP and a few others. Evil set out again for the last time with DCB. Studying the Wu-Tang Manual and non-stop reading about the Rza, Evil decided to start looking for new talent.
In 2012 Evil-E met a young kid from the East Side of Flint named John Poe (Smoky Poe). Evil immediately thought the kid had talent and was perfect for DCB. John and Evil went right to the wax recording the first song of Smoky Poes album called "Walk With Me". After a big change and an update of current sound and recording gear Evil-E and Smoky Poe have re-kindled the fire in DCB with a fresh new name "Dirty Caucasion Bastard" and are ready to make their come back.
Members in 2013 now include, Evil-E, Smoky Poe, The Jc, Grave Walker Dave and The Untouchable Kid. With raps and music being written by Ian Hamlett, Dave Kneeves, Steven Brewer, Jeremy Brewer, John Poe...and many more to come in the future.
Look for Smoky Poe's new album late this summer entitled "The Cruel Tutelage of Evil-E" and a new DCB album in fall of 2013.
