Frank Junior Guertin is a well-seasoned guitar player/songwriter from Merrick Long Island NY. He picked up the guitar young and was enrolled in taking guitar lessons at 6 years old. In Junior’s teen years he began taking rock guitar lessons by a very well-known and respected guitar player in the industry "Al Pitrelli", (formerly of Alice Cooper and Megadeth.) However it wasn't until he turned 18 that he discovered blues music which inspired Frank to incorporate rock licks with traditional blues scales. This technique gave Frank’s playing depth and feel while playing.
Frank Junior has enjoyed his personal musical accomplishments by performing numerous live shows, touring various cities, collaborating and starring on multiple independent music artists recordings like the metal band Silent-Fate and rock band Witness a Downfall. Frank would even show up to open blues jams in the local club area that created a buzz for himself locally. However, some of Frank Juniors most notable and memorable guitar work comes from his years of being the original lead guitarist of the Long Island rock band “Craving Strange” (2008-2010). Their first independent full length CD release in 2009 entitled "Savior Self" has some of Frank Juniors strongest guitar playing with blistering solos and solid catchy hooks.
In 2014 the online world got a taste of Junior’s newest project that features him as a solo artist. Releasing his first hard hitting single called "This Mess" on digital markets like iTunes and Spotify, “This Mess” showcases Franks well rounded guitar style filled with heavy guitar riffs and supercharged leads. "This Mess" also spotlights some of his musician friends from the Long Island music scene like Artie Aldarondo on vocals, Anthony Paganini on bass guitar and Danny Lamagna on drums.
As of today, Frank Junior Guertin is the new lead guitarist of a Long Island hard rock band called "Fight of the Century". Frank entered the band and immediately got into the recording studio. Frank took their current recordings to MEI Studios and with FOTC permission – he revamped the song by re-recording all guitars and wrote a new solo for their single “Hopeless” which once mixed, breathed new life into it. “Hopeless” was released online in July of 2015 and is available to download or stream on all digital online markets.
Musical future plans for Frank include playing live with Fight of the Century, and officially releasing his long awaited 6 song solo EP titled: "Adjusting the View" in late 2015!
