Shattervox / Bio

Shattervox kick out the jams with muscular classic rock flair, recalling arena conquering acts like the Rolling Stones and the Eagles on their debut album, Before There Was No After. With a sound so minimal it's monumental, Shattervox's first single "Grand Mal Seizure" carries on the tradition of 60's garage rock and proto-punk acts. Be warned "Grand Mal Seizure" is no trip down memory lane though. The track builds upon the incendiary foundation set by the MC5, while offering glimmers of the White Stripes filtered through a sonic assault that is one hundred percent Shattervox.

With producer, Kevin Jollimore (The Sin City Boys) at the helm, Shattervox emerged from the studio with ten well-crafted tracks, imbued with sexual swagger and pure rock n' roll bombast. The heart-felt ballad "Angels Don't You Cry" will surely inspire audiences to hoist their Bic lighters - or smart phones - high in the air, while anthemic rockers like "Grand Mal Seizure" and "She's A Mess" rock so hard that they may inspire catatonic excitement out of the dead. Much like their live performances, Before There Was No After carries with it a sense of palpable tension - a nervous energy with a message.
