Conceived during the dreary Northwest winter of 2011, guitarist Paris McClusky and bassist Zach Castañon began the group as a seedling of riff-laden escapism. That spring, drummer Jenn Laboranti galvanized the sound that became Shadows.
Beneath the shadows of the mountains, within the shadows of the old tress, we dwell. Diminutive, though we are, we fill the vast spaces with the songs of Shadows; the grandiosity of primordial places, reflected in a wash of sonic waves.
