He was hands on working with computers at 10 years old and quickly learned to dis-mantle and re-assemble desktop towers. His aunt let him to this as a distraction from the streets. He grew up listening to a wide range styles of music through his mother and grandfather. He developed a taste for hip hop at age 11 after here E-40's Da Bumble track. He came to understand his bay area background. It wasn't until age 14 that he met Marcus Turner who was the first to really share the same interest in both rapping and recording. Then they linked up with a producer named Kali Meeks and the passion intensified. At 18 was working at The Grill Recording Studios after school along with producer Hassan Chop. This is where he met inspirations like producers Rick Rock, & Lev Berlack. And artists like Richie Rich, PSD & J-Stalin.
In 2002, went on to join The Ghetto Reserve Network. GR or, The Reserve, was a group comprised of rap artists from North Oakland & South Berkeley in the mist of territorial dispusts. After that period, Rossi Mac stopped rapping and started self-learning graphic design and got into street promotion for artists and venues. He formed Fancy Footwork Promotions as a way to help his fellow musicians reach a wider audience. This landed him a position with Guerrilla Entertainment where he was fortunate to meet Suge Knight, B-Legit, Kafani, Erk The Jerk, Lee Majors and Blanco. He stayed with Guerrilla from 2007-2010 but eventually left to pursue his rebirth behind the mic and at the head of his own label.
