The Sam Schwegler Project was founded on August 25, 2010 when Sam Schwegler created the Facebook page and posted some Acoustic demo's. He wanted to show off his talents as a songwriter and as a multi-instrumentalist.
After that Sam started work on his first album "Coffee Coffee." The first album consists of songs that Sam has written over time. A majority of the titles on the album have something to do with Coffee. Instrumentation wise Sam only used an acoustic guitar with piano, bass, and drums. On December 20, 2010 Coffee Coffee was released.
In March of 2011 Sam's current band "Sammy Joe Sunshine" broke up. Sam was still wanting to continue with SSP and had some songs from SJS he wanted to release. Sam already had "Prom Date" and "The Bird" written and thought it would be appropriate to put them on an EP with the Sammy Joe Sunshine songs on it. Thus "The Bird EP" was released.
Summer of 2011 Sam was broken hearted and betrayed by one of his best friends, which gave him enough motive to write an album. Took him all summer but "Life, Love, and Espresso" was born. Sam recorded this album in his basement, and is one of his greatest achievements. April 6, 2012 Life, Love, and Espresso was released.
