Stereospread puts a new face on the burgeoning indietronica scene, with one foot firmly in the synthtopian past and another in indie pop's future. Sara Snyder's lovely, timeless vocals evoke contemporary acts such as Electric Youth, Broods, Phantogram, or Chromatics, while occasionally rising in a fervor more reminiscent of Florence Welch. Meanwhile James Hopkins' shimmering synth arpeggiations, lavish pads, and undulating basslines paint a lush landscape of saturated electronic sound. James and Sara's songs overflow with love, loss, youth, nostalgia, happiness, sadness, and all of life's terrible beauty.
