When it all came together it was known that something good was going to happen. The goal was simple: Play straight up heavy metal with a groove, have fun while doing it, repeat. The history here of how it all came together is long and complex. Eric Blomberg (SandPaperSoul, Throttle) has been playing guitar in the scene for many years, laying down riffs that command your attention. His passion and desire for music has been there since he was a kid. Speaking of kids, Jason Graciana (Humans Vanish, As One) and Eric grew up together, pretty much as family. Jason would sit and watch Eric play guitar in amazement. Eric was definitely an inspiration to Jason, as he taught himself to play guitar and bass over the years. Now they're together on stage, kicking ass together. Jason's low end is a big part of the Ominous Grey's sound and backbone. Bill Corby (SandPaperSoul, numerous other bands) has also been in the music scene for many years. From metal to classic rock, Bill can do it all. His lead guitar abilities are jaw dropping and mesmerizing. Chris Gordon (Throttle, numerous other bands) is the mad man behind the drum kit. Hard hitting and always putting on a show, Chris is all about controlled chaos. Anyone who has seen him play has felt the passion he plays with. Ryan O'Rourke (several bands) brings raw emotion and fury to his vocal style, his heart poured into every verse and chorus. His stage presence is like no other. Somewhat new to the scene, he gives it his all to energize the crowd.
The five of them bring an energy and uniqueness to the local metal scene, and they strive to help keep it alive and well for a long time to come.
