Several years ago ______________ started out playing open mike nights in the Philadelphia area. Within a few months he progressed into a 3 man band playing in front of full houses at clubs on all over the city weekends. The band name was ____________________, named after _____________ ancestors who came from England in the 1800s and put on theatrical shows touring the east coast.
The guitarist was Chris Shepherd, one of ______________ best friends to this day. Chris was one of the best and sought after guitarists in the philly area at the time. The drummer was Richard Stuverud from Seattle Washington who had recently moved to Philly. Richard was an amazing drummer who became interested in Broomes music after hearing him play at a local club. Stuverud was in a project previously with Pearl Jam‘s bass player Jeff Ament called Three Fish.
______________________ has entertained thousands at Philly clubs such as Doc Watsons, The Kyber, Dobbs, The Fire, The Pontiac, Club Nostradamus, The Funhouse, Kellys Ratskeller (doylestown) The Velver Lounge, The Rusty Nail, The Tohickon Tavern (bucks co.) and last but not least the infamous John and Peters in New Hope, Pa.___________has also played in New York City at The Bottom Line, The Bitter End and the legendary CBGB's.
The magic of this brilliant singer/ songwriter is his unique edgy style with a sound similar to that of the 30's and 40's. When you couple his one of a kind sound with his controversial lyrical content there's very little to compare him to. After being out of the game for a few years ____________ is back with a host of new material, professional studio equipment and a lot of crazy ideas. He also plans to focus his creativity into writing and arranging material for T.V. and Film. Who knows what to expect from him this time around. One thing for sure, it will be different.
