As an accomplished guitar player, prolific songwriter, and downright righteous dude, Casey Schuck can bring down the house at live gigs or produce innovative recordings in the studio. Though an Ohio native, he has been based in the Sandhills of North Carolina for the last 13 years and has established a positive rapport with the local community; both of his children are North Carolinians native born.
Casey's scope of material is wide ranging. He excels in classic rock and country, however he is at his finest when performing his original compositions.
"Honey Hollow", produced in 2011, showcases Casey's unique talent as a songwriter. It ranks as some of the best new music on the underground scene. Casey plays live weekly with a variety of accompanying musicians and is available solo or with a small group.
Casey joined up with Northern Michigan musicians for his 2012 release, Well Wishers and Wishing Wells. The album was engineered and produced by Dave Runyan at his IFR Studio. The album features songs that were composed and sang by Casey, but feature a Northern Michigan backing band. The band consists of Scott Rossener on drums, Shane Tschirhart on rhythm and lead guitars, Connor Dawson on Bass and vocals, Dave Runyan on keyboards and Dave Eggebrecht on fiddle.
