Triple Helix / Bio

Triple Helix is a hard rock band from Bloomington, Illinois with influences such as Tool, Metallica, and A Perfect Circle. They write original music with a blend of heavy, melodic guitar riffs, innovative drumming, driving bass lines, and dramatic vocals.

Triple Helix was formed in August of 2001 and now consists of three members: Adam Dew on guitar and vocals, Chris Marshall on drums, and Matt Helton on bass guitar. Each member has brought forth a variety of influences, skills, and knowledge that make Triple Helix the band it is today.

Triple Helix has recorded two albums – Interstice, which was self recorded in 2001 and Stranded Within, which was recorded at The Studio @ Interstate Music in New Berlin, Wisconsin in 2003.

Triple Helix has performed many shows in central Illinois at such venues as Paulie’s (formerly in Bloomington, IL), Coconut Louie’s (formerly in Bloomington, IL), IBC (Bloomington, IL), Tops and Tails (formerly in Creve Coeur, IL), Knickerbockers (Washington, IL), and The Canopy Club (Champaign, IL). They have also travelled to Chicago, IL, St. Louis, MO, and Indianapolis, IN to perform.
