Sarah Tollefson / Bio

Sarah Tollefson is a powerful vocalist ranging the styles of funk, soul, rock, blues and jazz. Tollefson is lead singer for Portland, OR band Vinyl Gold. A vocal chameleon, she can be found in the roles of jazzy siren, funk and blues diva, or blues rocker. Her range of styles and raw power are what have set her apart.

Tollefson got her start singing in choirs and theatrical productions in her hometown of Yakima, WA. She graduated from Central WA University in 2001 with her B.A. in Theatre Arts Performance.

Shortly after moving to Portland, OR, she began singing with the Portland Symphonic Choir. She then sang with various Portland artists and groups until she found a home in Fez Fatale in 2004 and sang with them until 2015. In 2014, she started jazz-funk band Vinyl Gold.

Sarah enjoys collaborating with other musicians, and is always open to new projects.

Sarah performs as avatar Porter Paquot in a virtual world called Second Life. For the last several years, she has been entertaining pixel audiences with her funk, soul and blues shows. Her international fan club group, affectionately called Porter's Party "Peeps", reaches over 300 and is still growing every day.
