ASCAP artist, Paul Alvin Harris, released his first EP of original songs last year. Since the release, he has been making waves across the state and arousing a very quickly-growing fanbase. Paul Alvin is making noise both as a performer and a songwriter. He recently won the local Texaco Country Showdown with KHOZ-Harrison, AR and placed well at the State competition. Through the songwriting portion of the Showdown, he received the most votes for the month for his memorably funny song, "Chunky Dunkin". He also has been a guest artist on several shows such as The Clay Cooper Show in Branson, MO, Channel 7's Good Morning Arkansas in Little Rock, and has been a regular at the Ozark Country Music Opry in NW Arkansas. He's also had the privilege of co-writing with and being mentored by some great Nashville songwriters, such as Grammy Award-winning songwriter, Steve Dean (6 #1s, cuts by Rodney Atkins, George Strait, & the Oak Ridge Boys). Paul Alvin has also performed the National Anthem at numerous sporting events throughout Arkansas & Texas. In a short amount of time, Paul Alvin Harris is surging with momentum as an up and coming performer and songwriter to watch.
