Sons Of The Quiet / Bio

Sons Of The Quiet released their debut album in 2012. Written, recorded, and produced by the guys in the band, SOTQ’s music is a testament to the fact that rock and roll is far from dying. Influenced by bands such as The Foo Fighters, U2, Jimmy Eat World, The Black Crowes, Snow Patrol, and a handful of country artists, SOTQ ventured out to put on record what inspires them.

Sons Of The Quiet was formed in 2009 by Tim Welch (guitars and vocals), James Brock (drums), and Jon McKee (bass). The trio met while playing music in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. As time went on, relationships fortified, ideas were exchanged, and the boys decided to go to work. With a headful of ideas, a small rehearsal space was rented and pen was put to paper. What came out of the writing sessions was a blend of American and Brit-rock with a healthy respect to their southern roots. From guitar driven songs such as “Heaven In Bone” to folk inspired songs like “The Last Train”, Sons Of The Quiet’s music feels new and yet somehow familiar.

SOTQ will be out and about, playing music, hosting cookouts, and hanging out with friends and fans. See you out there…
