Steve Bredice, saxophones and flute, has played professionally for more than 25 years in a wide range of genres. A veteran of theatrical pit orchestras, jazz ensembles, working commercial bands and touring acts, he has spent the past several years in a 10-piece salsa band, Afinque. Prior to joining Afinque, Steve was the leader of his own trio. He was also a founding member of Jazzmosis, a noted six-piece ensemble whose recordings feature some of his original compositions. Steve's performing and recording credits also include Mr. Dooley, winner of the 1992 Battle of the Bands in Burlington, Vermont, and Lambsbread, a Raggae Report Top 10 Band, plus: Blue Sky; Shakedown; The Funk Collection; The Hampton Playhouse; and The Theater In The Square in Atlanta, Georgia. As a composer of published jazz originals, Steve is listed in The Jazz Discography by Tom Lord.
Dave Mayette, upright bass and electric fretless, has played professionally for more than 40 years. A protege of Dr. Frank Prindl, he has played in bands, ensembles, and regional and national touring acts, and was a popular session player in Boston in the seventies and eighties. While in Boston Dave was a member of the Patty Larkin Group along side Cerci Miller, James Carrington, and Randy Walker. Dave's performing and recording credits include Patty Larkin, Rainbow Jack, The Zippers, Maple Jam, and The Heckhounds. Dave owns Pennyhead Recording Studio, is a composer of original material, and is a recorded multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, drums, banjo and mandolin.
Pianist/Keyboardist/Synthesist Dan Romeo studied Performance and Music Technology at Berklee College of Music and has performed and recorded for over 30 years in various genres with dozens of acts throughout New England and the U.S. and Canadian east coasts, including Blue Sky, Red Heaven (Jamie Lee Thurston), Blues for Breakfast ("Mr." Charlie Frazier), Jus' C (Cleon Douglas of Eeka Mouse), The Heckhounds, The Bredice, Mayette, & Romeo Jazz Trio, and as a solo pianist.
