ebb aka the emmett bower band began in late 2010 after jeff bower recorded "emmett and darlene" at plan c studio in lincoln ne. with matty sanders. soon after the recordings began josh rector joined them in the studio and threw down some fiddle tracks. bower had acoustic shows booked and rector joined in on the shows soon followed by sanders on drums. they recruited jeff chelewski on electric guitar, and monte peck came aboard as the bass player and backing vocals. after a few member changes here and there the band found themselves opening for the likes of randy rogers band, jason boland, bart crow band, no justice and many other bands of that ilk. they released their first effort titled "down yonder" on 4/20/11. soon they were booked every weekend and played all over the state in the biggest dance halls, bars, street dances, weddings and rodeo's. they traveled to shows in south dakota, oklahoma, and texas. In late 2011 early 2012 they recorded new songs in the studio and plan releasing a new album titled "rearview". Soon after the recording the band added Troy johnson on bass. Adding the whiskey bent saloon in nashville tn. to their may 2012 schedule the band is expanding outside their home turf. Busier than ever the band is growing and they plan on staying true to their grassroots following they have earned the old fashioned way(non-stop gigging and writing songs they and their fans can relate to).
