ecretly Supervised, consist of Andrew Webber (Vocals), Ryan Borthick (Guitar), Dane Vernon (Bass), and Chris Morgan (Drums). We all have had a long history with music and as musicians. Music allows us to express ourselves through ways that words or actions couldn't otherwise. We can all at one point be quoted by saying that music maintains our sense of identity, our way to reconcile with our surroundings, and our sanity. From a younger age, that was only possible by listening to songs that aligned with the expressionism we sought. So one by one we learned how to play instruments that would allow us to do our own form of expressing, and with practice we were each able to transform that expression into a more raw form of emotion - what we played was how we felt, it was us.
Which brings us to the summer of 2012. We (Andy, Dane, and Ryan) at this point had musical experience together playing at open mic nights and jam sessions around Denver, but hadn't yet decided to give ourselves a name. So when an opportunity presented itself one night to play in a battle of the bands at the end of the summer, we decided it was time to just go for it. After quickly finding Chris Morgan as a drummer, the four of us began to see that how we each approached creating original music was very similar, but our influences were very different. As a result, the sound we created (and are creating) could not only transverse different genres but infuse them as well.
