In late 2011, from the Ashes of Down the Empire came Zero Hour. Ben Connelly, Aidan Cibich & Ben Hall continued jamming material after the demise of the former band. In November of that year, Jake Keeler (ex Sirius) joined the as yet un-named quartet on Guitar. Songwriting continued. By January, Steve Labadi (ex-Quaero Verum) had completed the line-up as Lead Vocalist.
The debut ZH show was @ Enigma on the 20th of April, 2012 opening for Octanic, Datura Curse etc. By December of that year, Zero Hour had played 9 shows (including opening for LORD) to consistently enthusiastic crowds around Adelaide andAidan and Ben had left the band for personal reasons. They were quickly replaced by Andrew Cutting (ex-Manifesto lead guitarist) & Harry James (funky bass hero).
The debut show with the NEW EXTRA EPIC lineup took the stage @ Shotz on March 8th and have never looked back.
Mid 2013 the band decided to change name and needed to come up with something powerful, memorable and something that would resonate with the vision the band had set out to achieve - out from the ashes of Zero Hour , Skyhammer has arisen!!
The band's debut single, 'Broken', has also finally landed with an EP launch to follow very soon!! Skyhammer still have some surprises up their sleeves stay tuned!
