Jessie Kipp has been in musicals and choirs since she was young including church and high school events. She is currently taking vocal and guitar lessons. She utilized her piano skills to teach herself guitar and has been writing music since she was a teenager. Richard VanDerWal is a self-taught, eclectic musician. Not only does he rock the kit but he writes music on guitar, bass, and piano as well. He is the drummer for the house band at the Down and Over and has been involved in various bands throughout his music career. The soulful trumpeter, Mike Henderson, moved to the cold climate of Wisconsin from Tallahassee, Florida to pursue music education at U.W.Milwaukee. He too has been involved in several bands throughout Milwaukee and is often guest musician. Sam Harvey has performed in bands with his father and other various artists back home in Kansas City, where he was a full-time musician. He moved to Milwaukee and is majoring in music. He joined Soulfoot Mombits in August of 2012, adding spunk to the stage and the sound of the group. The music of Soulfoot Mombits is unique and funky. Just take a listen and find out for yourself.
