Jamie Reynolds is a Canadian-born jazz pianist and composer who has lived in Brooklyn NY since 2005. After graduating with honors from the University of Toronto's jazz program, Jamie moved to New York to study with Fred Hersch on a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. Jamie has played with many of New York's top musicians, including Billy Hart, Greg Gisbert, Joel Frahm, Rodney Green, Pete McCann, Gene Bertoncini, Jamie Baum, Jeff Herschfield, Branford Marsalis, and worked with producer Jason Olaine. He has played at nearly of the top jazz clubs in the city, and toured across the US, Canada, and Europe. Jamie's debut piano trio record, "Time With People", will be released in May 2012 on Fresh Sound New Talent, and he is currently working on a new studio album featuring electric instruments and a brass quartet.
