THE NEW LINE UP FOR THE NEW ALBUM IS,- THE HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES, G.G. -LEAD VOCALS/ BASS GUITAR, JOHN E. VOLA LEAD GUITAR, TERRY McGRATH- DRUMS, COMING VERY SOON, THE NEW ALBUM BY THE HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES, NEW PICS, NEW ART WORK, AND A NEW CLOTHING LINE CALLED HOLLYWOOD SWAGG BY G.G. The Hollywood Vampires have posted 2 NEW song, They wanted to try to mix the old with the new and see what would happen, the first song "Matter Of Time" was written by Stanford Joel and a friend of G.G.'s. After talking back and forth with each other it was decided that the Hollywood Vampires would record Matter Of Time, G.G. loves all of Stan's songs, but Matter of time just stood out, The other song is If You Leave written by OMD for the pretty in pink sound track, The band was looking For something fun from the 80's to do and this song was a last minute pick, G.G. had heard a version by nada surf and liked it but wanted to record it a tad slower to grasp that feeling, so anyway for now, there you have it. THE MUSIC IS UP!! I KNOW , IT'S ABOUT TIME, THE TAPES WERE OLD AND THE SOUND IS ROUGH BUT I WANTED TO SHARE IT WITH EVERYONE ANYWAY. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. THESE SONG'S ARE OLD BUT I LOVE THEM JUST THE SAME, THANKS G.G.................... The Hollywood Vampires was formed in 1992 by G.G. The name came from L.A. Guns, it was the name of their third album and also their fan club. Before that it was a term to describe the rockers who would party at the club's on the strip till the sun came up. When we took the band name It was in respect to L.A. Guns and all the bands of that time. At that time lead singer only known as G.G. had been playing with a band called "Poet Kill Poet" with Eddie Wilson, Rob Stackhouse, and Matt Pone. Eddie Wilson was the whole reason I even Got into music, He met a hand full of us at a subway one day and said you should start a band, He Gave me my first bass guitar and taught us all how to play, we recorded a few songs together, he co wrote "Around the bend" and He wrote the words and music to "Bitch" Thanks to Eddie Wilson and his contacts in the music biz the band made a lot of friends in the biz that were a big influence on all of us at a young age. Friends and Bands like Henry Rollins, sim cane and andrew wise from the rollins band among other bands they played with, The Ramones, Chris Hartford and the band of change, ween, mark colman, and many many others. As the music was changing and so were the band members taste in music Poet Kill Poet disbanded in 1991, being a bunch of teenagers it had seemed like being in a band was more of a hobbie then a passion for some. In 1992 G.G. formed the Hollywood Vampires, the influence was a mix between the west coast bands like L.A. Guns and Guns and Roses and east coast bands like the Ramones and the Misfits. After a few years of playing small bars and party's and a constant change in band members, by 1994 the Vampires were able to get into the studio to record the bands first album Sunset Strip. the sound was very raw, not glam like in the past, It had a bit of every style at the time in it, punk, rock, grunge, glam, everything of that era the Vampires were open to. After the release of Sunset Strip The Hollywood Vampires along with another band called Oliver Twist began an east coast tour to promote the album. Playing Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, Boston, and so ..starting out as an opening act, the Hollywood vampires quickly moved up the ranks to headlining shows. With a growing fan base The Hollywood Vampires Became more known a "party " then a rock band, But good times were to be had by all that came out to see them. More to come later as page is built, THANKS
