Formed at the beginning of 2004 after a long period of hard work and isolation Timecut is a three piece band from Bologna, Italy; they're currently promoting their second album, a nameless 10 songs composition. The sound orientation is a combination of elaborate and highly expressive vocal lines, heavy guitar riffs, dark bass textures and electronic patterns. The result is a new, deep and powerful sound combined to unusual atmospheres and visionary lyrics, on simple-structured and extremely direct songs. Before they met, Bait was the singer-guitarist of a five piece emo-core band, Hangin' on a thread. In 2000 H.o.a.t. released the album Draining the swampy lands touring all over their country, also performing in various European festivals with bands such Linea 77, Snapcase, Therapy?, Orchestra Morphine, Reiziger, and One Dimensional Man. The increasing response from supporters and International press allowed them to take part to the Emo diaries n. 6, an American compilation released by Deep Elm Records, with the song “flavour”. At that time Joba and Alle were playing in Susan Acid. Mainly influenced by punk and industrial scene, Susan Acid had original sonorities and an impressive live performance. On 2001 the members of the 2 bands joined together keeping the name H.O.A.T. and, for an whole year, toured Italy and part of Europe. The band then decided to move on a more experimental and extreme direction, re-adopting the name Susan Acid. They released a new album, Miss Anthropy and a video track for the single Humbledrome. After the recording sessions they moved to London looking for new opportunities and gigs. Here, as Susan Acid, they performed on the main London's stages with a very productive live activity untill 2005, when Bait and Joba found Timecut recording their first album 'Exeptions': this was their own antidote for the unbelievable apathy of International music scene!
The band repatriation, on 2006, coincided with an important line-up change: Alle (Susan Acid former drummer) joined again the band. After an extensive period of rehearsing and live activity the band's efforts to find a distinctive sound turn into a new, nameless, obscure work, which has been released on November 4th 2007. This one breath record is a frenetic 10 songs composition, which features old and new stuff. All the existing songs have been rearranged for Alle's drums keeping a particular eye on electronic pads and beats, which is one of the main characteristics of the band's new sound. In addition to the promoting activity, the band's currently working on an ambitious VISUALS project which has been added to the recent live shows receiving great approvals.
