Encouraged by the opportunity to make it on American Idol, with little to no money in his pockets, Jcisco made his way to the auditions in Washington, DC, where he walked away with a coveted yellow ticket to Hollywood for American Idol’s Season 4! Although, he did not make the top 24, he was however, fortunate to catch the producer’s attention of La Nueva Estrella, the Latin spin-off of American Idol, which Jcisco went on to win in 2006!
A Brooklyn, NY bred vocalist, Jcisco was born the youngest of eight children. Fans of the new virtuoso, might consider the budding star the freshest face in music, but that assumption couldn’t be further from the truth! Jcisco is an in-demand singer who's been developing his talent since his first television appearance as a singer on the Rolanda Show (WPIX) and as a singer/dancer on Debbie Allen’s “Fame” (NBC) when he was just a child.
Growing up,Jcisco was heavily influenced by recording artists such as Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross and Whitney Houston—Today he finds pleasure in listening to all genres of music, seeking to incorporate his own style as a vocalist! Jcisco is a singer, performer and songwriter, penning the majority of songs on his highly anticipated upcoming album, “My Music U & Me”, the title song, slated for a 2012 release.
Listening to the smooth vocals of Jcisco with eyes closed, you would never guess this soloist honed his talent naturally without taking a single vocal lesson. He says his strong spiritual foundation is what motivates him to use his celebrity to inspire positive change in the lives of his fans. His goal is to create “timeless music with a message”.
