Seasoned musicians with spicy tunes in hot swing, novelty vaudeville, jazz n' jive, Mexican, mystic, and delicate melodies.
With a combined international resume' of 27 music festivals, these five musicians became one group to express a rich vision of American music. THICK & Thin is like a whole music festival in one band.
Each member is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, choosing from an onstage array of two violins, three vintage guitars, concertina, 4-string banjo, slide guitar, trumpet, mandolin, ukulele, bass, accordion, 5-string banjo, octave-mandolin, bones, and a bucket.
What will they do next? Funky delta, sweet Mexican cancion, comic vaudeville, fiery gypsy jazz, Mills Brothers bouncy swing, a walk round an old-timey mountain, a rowdy romp, a gorgeous ballad? Each is exquisitely arranged and tweaked to perfection in four part vocal harmony.

"So wonderful! It's varied, so many instruments, not the same singer...different kinds of songs. It's so fun that way."
~ R. Karch
"I will long remember last night's concert. Such beautiful harmonies, sounds that brought tears to my eyes.
A perfect combination of songs and contrasts. Thanks so much for your music in that inspiring setting.
