Beauty...Brilliance...Artistry...Power! I decided that I would have a career as a singer when I was about 3 or 4 years old, or maybe I just always knew. At about age 8 I decided I would also be a doctor of some kind. Since I was raised to believe that I could do anything, I assumed I could do both. So, yes, I did become a doctor, but more about my other professions (yes, that was plural) later (got to keep folks guessing after all). I am a vocalist, vocal coach, music/film producer, film director, arranger, instrumentalist, multiple business owner, model, educator, writer, dancer, world traveler, consultant, public speaker, loving daughter, sister, wife, and mommy to my kitty and basset hounds. I received the ACE Woman of the Year Award and the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2004 from Marygrove College, was a consultant for the Artist Empowerment Coalition (NY) in 2003, and former music faculty at Marygrove College. My Bachelors Degree is in Voice Performance, I participated in international & regional voice and flute competitions, and toured internationally as a soloist with the Marygrove Chamber Singers. Currently, I am president/founder of Celeste Productions, Inc., coach musicians in my studio, play violin and viola with the Violin Divas, and serve on the advisory board for the Detroit Youth Concert Choir Performing Arts Organization. I released my first album and music video, which I also produced and co-directed, in October 2007, and made my New York debut at Ashford and Simpson's Sugar Bar in 2008. In 2010 I created, produced and hosted a televised, internationally streaming music /talk radio show. The Michigan Women's Forum Magazine did a feature on me (http://michiganwomensforum.blogspot.com/2010/07/limitless-world-of-dr-angela-celeste.html), after which I created a monthly column called: "Phenomenal Michigan Woman". I call my musical style Urban Fusion: rocky, soulful, bluesy and jazzy, with a hip hop feel and “world” beats. Intriguing...isn't it?
