Jeff German / Bio

Quality and passion are self evident; and their own reward. Jeff German’s yeoman efforts as a songwriter, lead-guitar player, and front-man, show a singular dedication to the art form of Mid-West working class music that is often lost to time, pretense, or low expectations. He defies all of these by playing sweet licks over strong melodies and honest lyrics that is served best with cold beer after a long week. His songs "Kro-bide" and "Apology with Every Song"; charted in the top ten for over six weeks on the popular Internet radio station Radio Free Texas. His first solo album, "12 Rounds", released March 2014 delivered the same attention to the gospel of six strings and honest storytelling. His songwriting and clever arrangements caught the attention of Slothtrop Records label President, Eric Hester who signed Jeff In December of 2013 to a three record deal. Slothtrop Records re-released "12 Rounds" on their label in March of 2014 and subsequently released the video to the single "Sit and Think" in April of 2014. Since that time Jeff German & The Blankety Blanks have been criss-crossing the country in various forms including rollicking full band rock and roll shows to intimate house concerts as a duo with Pedal Steel player, Matthew Wilson.

Jeff German and his band the Blankety Blanks (Matthew Wilson: Pedal Steel, Mike Nelson: Drums, Graig Barnett, Guitar and Bradley Williams, Bass) will be releasing their second record (untitltled) on Slothtrop Records in September 2015.
