The Living Daylights or thlvngdaylghts is a band comprised of singer/songwriter Miguel Lantigua in collaboration with fellow songwriter, drummer and producer Mike Alaska. TLD was originally conceived as a side project to release more personal original music of Lantigua's while he was playing in other bands. The chemistry flowed and the music came out--In just a few weeks "Kiss a Fish", "Slide", "Tigerbomb", "Lights" and "Slip" were produced, with the final two still in production due to members relocating. TLD continues to write and produce, touring solo shows and giving away free music to fans and anyone willing to give the band's fresh sound a listen.
"We just want to make people dance, whether that means we are playing rock or go into a reggae or even a dubstep jam..." is the credo that TLD has adopted and their approach to their live shows. "We are just two guys in the studio, but we can make it sound like there are 8 of us, meanwhile our live shows we have a full band and we try to expand on the songs, we take them places you don't expect and we take the listeners for a ride they know will be different the next show. We want every TLD show to be different regardless what we play. So long as you (they) are having fun, why should we stop just because the song was supposed to end there on the album. If you want to hear the album version, go listen to our CD, our live shows are performances and we should treat them as such."
The Living Daylights is currently booking shows as a solo, duo or full band.
"We love music and we want to make a sound that is familiar but has a freshness and an accent to it. Most importantly it's gotta make you dance."
