Since the day she was born, Tawnya Reynolds life has been anything but ordinary. She was born, May 14th in Albuquerque, New Mexico and adopted at only seven days old. Growing up just down the highway in Ruidoso, New Mexico, she thrived on family and her love of country music.
With a lack of a major music community to connect with, she taught herself guitar and the craft of songwriting..... "There really wasn't an outlet to learn about the music business so I spent most of my time in my room playing guitar and writing."...... Her first recording was a three original song project she recorded at the only studio in town.
After graduation she bounced around the Austin music scene for a year and spent some time in Ft. Worth. In 2001 she was more than ready to hit the road to Nashville and see where her career would take her.
Immediately she was signed to a publishing deal where she wrote for nearly three years. "After that I was bar tending to pay the bills and playing two to three shows a week. I was elated to be a real part of the music scene in Nashville." While plugging away and making connections, a mutual friend introduced her to Cole Wright who produced a critically acclaimed ten song album on Tawnya titled "Carnival and more recently a new album titled "Standing In The Rain." In 2008, she was signed by Wright to Wright of Center Music Publishing Company.
Now in 2011, Tawnya is still writing for Wright of Center, playing around Nashville and the U.S. She has currently connected with producer Billy Joe Walker Jr. and they are collaborating on new music. ......."I am so blessed to be where I am in life and more importantly in music. I get to do what I love and make a living doing it."
