The Biscuitheads / Bio

The Biscuitheads is a songwriting troupe based out of beautiful Knoxville, TN, in the heart of Appalachia, playing bluesy, folk-inspired melodies with jazz, R&B, and blues-rock influences. The group's founding members, Burton Knight, Sam Harding, and Sara Daniels, have been working together musically since the early part of 2011, while Burton and Sam have been life-long musical partners. The band typically plays as a trio supplemented by a rhythm section, but have been known to play at folk festivals and low-key events as just three.
The songs reference the feeling of an old soul trying to comprehend and navigate a disparate and changing world, and also of the struggle between traditional, folky charm and the gritty realism of what Southern culture has had and continues to endure.
