Brian A Thompson is an up-and-coming solo singer/songwriter, hailing from the small town areas of flyover country with bright light/big city aspirations.
As a youth, Thompson fell in love with music early - one of his favorite toys was his mom's record player - and that love only grew over the course of time. While he pursued more "reasonable" careers over the years, the dream of sharing himself on stage with legions of adoring fans was never far below the surface.
The turning point came in September 2004 when Thompson won his crown jewel - a PRS Tremonti SE electric guitar, autographed by his favorite band, Alter Bridge. That inspiration led him to pick up that guitar and begin learning how to play. After a couple of years of failed attempts to learn, he found his calling in October 2006 when his first band, Wikked, was born. Over the course of the next several years, Thompson was part of a band that wrote nearly 40 original songs - ranging from hard and heavy metal riffs to soft acoustic ballads, all in an attempt to find his signature sound.
Now in 2012, Thompson is looking to branch out and create a name and a voice for himself as a solo acoustic singer/songwriter. While once again finding his own style, he looks to write a handful of songs, release his debut EP, and begin taking his songs to the masses. With a message to bring and a song in his heart, he'll play for anyone who will listen.
