If you want southern country rock at its finest look no further than Black Water Bride. They have been described as a straight, boot heel to the jaw when they play; No mercy, no apologies. They are four southern gentlemen from the birthplace of the Louisiana Hayride and can play everything from The Black Crowes to Black Sabbath with a little Hank Jr. thrown in the mix.
Their influences are as diverse as the men playing the instruments. From Pantera to David Allen Coe , somehow these inspirations produce the “Black Water Sound” of Louisiana’s Black Water Bride.
All four are veterans of the southern touring scene and can still turn heads each show as they make new fans fall in love with their original sound. They are not bro country and they are not hard rock. They’re the sweet spot in between boot tappin’ and sippin’ moonshine (the real stuff).
They have played from the plains of Oklahoma to the beaches of Key West, FL. They have shared the stage and held their own with artists such as: Shooter Jennings, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Whiskey Myers, Frank Foster, Jackyl, Fuel, Texas Hippie Coalition and Blackberry Smoke.
These are the guys that can drink a beer with you but make you want to shoot whiskey with a ballad you’re not expecting. With a producer like Adam Hamilton (former member of L.A. Guns), who has worked with Sheryl Crow, William Shatner, Counting Crows, Zakk Wylde, Peter Frampton, Brad Paisley and guest musicians like Jimmy Wallace, it’s impossible not to be impressed with these four.
