So I had a set of demos (21 songs +) that were just doing nothing, gathering dust on soundcloud. One day, in 2011, I saw an ad on craigslist, looking for a band to be on a bill with them. I replied, and sent link to said demos. They liked them, and booked me---but I didn't have a BAND! So, I talked a couple of dudes I had been jamming with to learn a set's worth of tracks. We played that show, then both the guys that comprised the rhythm section stated they didn't want to continue, even though I had booked another show at Reggie's. SO, I had to scramble---knew my friend J played the drums, so I approached him. Said, 'Alex wants OUT, do you want IN?' Jason said 'Hell, YEAH!'
Then called on a bassist I had met via craigslist the previous Summer, and he got involved. Our biggest show to date was booked at Cobra Lounge to open for Mugen Hoso, from Tokyo. Bassist couldn't make it!! So, we played it as a duo, and remained as such for a year or two.
Found Andrew via craigslist, and we seemed to click fairly well from the start---then we lost contact somehow.
But now he's back, and we are a POWERTRIO. In the mighty tradition of Meat Puppets, Dinosaur, Minutemen, Husker Du, Mission of Burma, Volcano Suns, Phantom Tollbooth, Killdozer, Nirvana, etc
THREE! It's a magic number.
And tell Universal Project to go F___ themselves! Well, Weston is OK, but JW Sneed is a DHPOS
